Traditional Animation Styles
After learning the techniques and tools to create digital 3D animation, it was important for me to learn the basics of traditional animation styles. Throughout a semester of hands-on practice and in-class learning, I experimented with various traditional animation techniques, gaining valuable insights into the world of frame-by-frame animation.
There are many concepts that using these techniques taught me, including timing, movement, camera positioning, character expression, and problem solving. By learning and experimenting with traditional animation styles, I not only strengthened my technical skills but also developed a deeper appreciation for the art and the craftsmanship behind every movement. These lessons have been fundamental in shaping my approach to 3D animation, making my work more intuitive, expressive, and technically sound.
